Turnham Green & Stamford Brook Garages

Probably one of the most scenic bus stands used by RM`s, this is Kew Green on 8 April 1983 and RM 558 looks well with its surroundings in sunshine. Sunny Sunday afternoons often changed this into a real challenge to negotiate the final approach to the bus stand when badly (or illegally) parked cars made it difficult or sometimes impossible for buses to get through. At the point of turning onto the first part of Kew Green, the distant end of the road that connected back with the main road couldn`t be seen thus setting a trap. There were many occasions when it was necessary to reverse out of a blockage with all the aggro that ensued when other vehicles were attempting to use the narrow section between parked cars.
