RetroFuture Fashion Royalty 2019 Collection
Finally, we got our greedy little paws on FR collection. I literally fainted when i saw these girls. As a comic book fan, I always wanted to have high quality action figures of less popular characters. Unlike what most people think, comic book characters are quite fashionable. For example Spawn: Angela's Hunt comic book from 1997 had several evil characters dressed very similar to famous metal outfits designed by Thierry Mugler. One of them had a metal visor that covered her eyes completely and her hair was picked up in a high bun, she had silver hair. All female characters in that and similar comics had one hand covered with metal so that it could be used as a shield.
Do I have to explain that this is my favorite collection this year?
Retro Dimensional Vanessa Perrin - When a remake of Blade Runner movie appeared I was hoping IT would recreate Rachel - the famous robot from the movie. When I saw this Vanessa, I was like oooohhhhh Rachel! I think that will be her name when i get her. Her screening reminds me of earlier screenings, like Flame Bleue, but updated. I think she looks gorgeous! Her and Adele will be quite easy to redress, I am glad we will have that option as they will arrive with 3 pairs of hands! The outfit is perfect for her. Now METAL pieces, yes, everything shown except shoes is made of metal! I just love these long metal gloves, and how cool is that we got long red nails on these robotic arms. On the upper part of metal gloves, there are small white crystals. Just extraordinary! There is not a single thing I would change about this Van. PERFECTION!
Neo Look Adèle Makeda - Shows up in Nubian skintone, for the first time, if I am not mistaken. She looks gorgeous! The screening has been used a lot lately, which makes her a bit less special than Van, but as I adore that screening I will not complain. There are gold details on her eye makeup which will make her quite interesting in person. I love tulle skirt, and those shoes! OMG! Sunglasses with little blue crystals... Fainted!
Mothership Dania Zarr - I had a feeling we will see Dania this year, but I didn't expect this for sure! Literally gasped when I saw her! She has similar screening as Optic Dania, but her lips are smaller, I do not like that, wish they were fuller. Her eyes are mesmerizing! I am a bit worried about black eyebrows, I hope they will not be jet black in person, that would be too harsh with this hair and makeup color. I feel she will be more difficult to redress, which makes her just a bit less wanted in my collection. But, I guess you can never know until you have her in hand. The corset is made of metal and also is adorned with small white crystals on the hips. Just like necklace, it closes with magnet. Boots! OMG I would buy her for boots solely! She comes with metal wide visor and Dior inspired belt. If you take a look closely you will notice that the cape shimmers.
