Momma in the Water

While this old mom was feasting on some moss, her week-old calf was nearby, resting in the grassy edge of the water. She roamed around the lake eating, giving us plenty of opportunities to watch her. The campground hostess told us that she had the pleasure of watching the calf being born. What an experience that must have been.
