On 16th April 1853 First Passenger Train in India Ran between Bombay (Bori Bandar) Which is now Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Thane, A 14 Carriage Train Hauled by Three Stream Locomotives Sahib, Sindh and Sultan. It carried 400 people and ran on a line of 34 kilometres (21 mi) built and operated by the Great Indian Peninsula Railway.
