Red Squirrel Leap Front

I had a superb day at @argatyredkites where I spent the morning in the Red Squirrel woodland hide followed by an afternoon watching the Red Kites feed over the fields; a truly magical experience.

I have always wanted to see and photograph Red Squirrels at closer quarters, at this superb location I got to see at least 7 Squirrels going about their daily routine.

Airborne shots of Squirrels are not always the easiest to get and to retain a sharp shot with a good depth of field is tricky and timing is key to make all these things come together.

.

I was pleased to get some nice shots and in this one I was really happy to get a great result.
