Oban August 1973.
My girlfriend Lesley and were having a Holiday in Scotland staying in a cottage just outside Oban. We came up from Birmingham overnight with E3118 to Crewe then Class 50 444 to Glasgow Central, and Class 27 5353 on to Oban. Here is a view of the station with Class 27's on view 5353 on the left and 5347 on the right both on train's to Glasgow it was a good holiday but I did not not take that many railway's as we spent a lot of time hitching around and got some great lift's from many intresting people. We came back with 5374 Oban to Glasgow, 449 Glasgow to Crewe then E3091 Crewe back to Birmingham. Great Day's. Oban 18/08/1973.
