New to Crewe April 1960.
Class 40 40139 was new to Crewe North depot in April 1960 and now 21 years later it stands withdrawn in the yard at Crewe Works it was withdrawn on 14/02/1982, from Longsite depot and cut up at Crewe May 1985. Crewe Works 17/10/1982.
