Why this photo and what freedom means to me:

At the risk of sounding cliche, the beach is often a place that brings me an almost wild, passionate freedom. Partially for practical reasons -- free time spent there. Partially because the power and beauty of the ocean and waves, a sense of securitry that comes from knowing they will always be there for me, whether I am away from them a month, a year or half a life. And finally, there is simply a primal freedom. Perhaps this song best describes it..
