Fight by Deepwood Motte
I present my latest moc, Deepwood Motte. This moc depicts an event from "A Dance with Dragons", the fifth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. It is a short battle between the ironborn, led by Asha Greyjoy, and Stannis Baratheon, who is trying to retake the castle from the ironborn.
Deepwood Motte is a motte-and-bailey castle located in the north, and is the seat of house Glover. The moc along with the castle contains a longhall and a watchtower. Additionaly, surrounding the castle are wooden walls. The whole castle is primarily made out of wood, so i tried to give the whole castle a wooden texture. I added a little godswood with a weirwood tree to associate it more with asoiaf.
All in all I'm quite happy with how this moc turned out. The moc was built for a convention, so i focused on making it as solid as possible, while simultaneously adding as many details as possible. I will say im not very happy with how the final pictures ended up, as taking pictures of large mocs are a bit of a challenge, especially with little time.
Anyways I hope you like it!
