Quincy Railroad number 3 heading to the mill, Quincy CA

44-tonner number 3, painted in orange and silver is rolling over light rail on it's way to the lumber mill in Quincy from the engine house located on the west side of town. It wasn't long before these tracks were abandoned after the last customer in downtown Quincy switched to trucks. Tracks were cut back to the mill where the power was then stored.
