Refugees
Obviously these are asian, probably japanese refugees on a ship at the beginning of the 20th century.
The text on the reverse of this photograph raises some questions.
I am not so good in reading french, but I think it reads:
"Toute de Terre
ERZURUM
Sauvetage t/ de la Paix
??? ???? ?????
echoué (?) aux Indochinois"
Since Erzurum is a city in eastern Turkey, can it be the name of a ship? I cannot find any evidence.
Can someone read the the fourth line?
I think "echoué" doesn't make sense. Could it be another word?
