A truck that was purchased brand new by the Norristown, PA site outfitted with a Quik-Tip system for rear load style dumpsters. Two of these came to Shippensburg in the last few weeks. Norristown recently switched their fleet to CNG, so that’s the only reason Shippensburg got these trucks, and rumor is the crews prefer the old rundown trucks over these, as the single, slow tipper that dumps too deep into the hopper makes fully carted routes into a long, slow day. Another thing is there is not a single rear load dumpster in the area, so that fancy, expensive Quik-tip system is pretty much going to waste.
