N59 Action Campaign bumper sticker / greamán N59 Feachtas Gnímh

Campaign group formed to lobby election candidates for improvements to the N59 road, a road that is narrow with too many bends, frequent potholes, ungritted surface, and is prone to flooding.

 

The N59 Action Campaign group was formed in 2016 by local residents in response to their local arterial road having one of the highest rates of accidents in the state.

 

Central government in Dublin and local government in Galway hide behind the designation of the Connemara region as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) in the lack of adequately serviced conduit road through this part of the country.
