Breith Finscéalta, Sean McDermott Street, section 3
40 Sean McDermott St (at the junction with Rutland Street) is being re-developed as an apartment complex.
The artwork - Breith Finscéalta - on the wooden boarding was created by Juliette Viode
In this section of her artwork we see Sétanta having let loose his sliotar with his hurley at the guard dog of the smith Culann.
Renamed as Cúchulainn after this event, he goes on to play an important role in The Ulster Cycle (in Irish: an Rúraíocht), as well as in Scottish and Manx mythology.
