Florida Atlantic University recently celebrated “FAU Day” at the Florida Capitol. Every year, FAU sends a select group of students to join FAU President John Kelly and the FAU Board of Trustees to advocate on behalf of the University in Tallahassee. Wilkes Honors College Sophomore Vineet Reddy, Ken Dawson-Scully, Ph.D., associate vice president for strategic initiatives and Cara Perry, assistant vice president of communication for FAU's northern campuses joined to represent FAU Jupiter. FAU Day delegates toured both the Senate and House chambers, met one-on-one with various legislators. Marshall Criser III, the chancellor of the State University System of Florida served as the keynote speaker over lunch. The day concluded with a reception at the Capitol for FAU students, legislators and aides.
