A litany of dangers to correct in this ebay chinese special. Sold drop-shipped to the UK with a 120V nema 5-15R unfused plug, input neutral through a 32A type C breaker (protecting 1,5mm cable!), live straight to output sockets, neutral then through autotransformer to the outputs, meaning in step-down mode you had 120V output ok but 240V to ground on the appliance neutral. Poor soldering, several joints hanging by a thread. . Non touch-proof external fuseholders and input voltage selectors. UK 13A non-compliant, non-shuttered socket, mounted upside down. Inadequate earthing of the case by means of trapping a wire under a heavily-varnished transformer foot. Steel case not strong enough to survive transit, arrived deformed causing clearance issues. Exposed sharp screws inside next to mains-carrying conductors. Top cover not properly bonded to main body of appliance due to heavy powder coated finish. Beware!
