Nalder Bros Bridge

vintage lab instrument. Bridges such as this were used to measure resistance or voltage by comparing it to an accurate internal reference. You adjust or balance the external measured value with one set-up on the instrument, so the needle shows zero or null. The value you measured is then shown on the levers and dials you set to obtain that null point. Simple!
