Bush TV53 valve, or tube TV from 1956.

The wooden-cased variant of the TV62 which was made in bakelite (see other pics). The scan coils are slighly skewed to give a slanted picture; this is caused by a slight warping of the cabinet. The tube is bolted to the front of the cabinet but the scan coils are bolted to the sides of the cabinet, which has become misaligned. Modern CRTs of course have the coils bonded directly to the tube neck.
