Buildings of spanning well over 100 years in Manchester city centre.

The building with the curved roof is the former Manchester Central railway station was a one of of Manchester's main railway terminals between 1880 and 1969, It was later converted into an exhibition and conference centre which was opened in 1986.

The brick building on the right is the Midland Hotel. Opened in 1903, it was built by the Midland Railway to serve Manchester Central railway station, its northern terminus for its rail services to London St Pancras.

The high rise buildings in the background have sprung up in the past couple of decades.
