Northwich locoshed in the early 1980s. Old oil tank wagons being used to provide a fueling point for the class 25 locos used on the ICI hopper trains.
Although I can't confirm this, it was said at the time that the tanks were mounted on elderly underframes from pre-grouping loco tenders.
