Hideout
I was walking with my dog cross country in a remote area when I stepped on the piece of plywood that covered this entrance. It was well-camouflaged and covered with dirt but I happened to step on it and noticed the hollow sound. Then I saw the edge of the plywood and raised it to find this hideout. Inside was a wood stove (The chimney was covered in brush), a platform for sleeping and a small supply of firewood. I would guess the builder was an outlaw or a paranoid survivalist. It appeared to be several years old. I took this shot in 2004 but have never returned to the spot.
