Facing a Warped Reflection or B.O.B Unit 00 Built for the 2025 Bio-Cup Preliminary round Theme' Dream
This build is a representation of how things we recognize well in life can be slightly distorted, sometimes even unnerving, in our dreams. A Bizarro reality, I would say. I wanted to take this feeling I often have and transfer it to the iconic standard LEGO Minifigure, or "Bob". That's when I started to get inspiration from Gundam Gquuuuuux's take on the RX-78, another iconic design in pop culture that has been remixed and built upon several times, and in this latest iteration a to a point where one could argue it looks off and not iconic. My "dream bob" started taking a similar approach and started to look very Eva unit-like and organic … Lastly, I remembered a conversation I had with a friend once about fever dreams he would have when he was sick, and how he would see pulsating orbs of primary colors, and that they seemed almost alive, reaching out. Not threatening or scary, just strange and fascinating. Hope you enjoy this mashup of different ideas and eras of LEGO parts as much as I do.
