Mount Bromo
The long stretch of the Sea of Sands to Mount Bromo.
People are brought down to the Sea of Sands on jeeps before disembarking to attempt to hike up some stairs into the crater of the volcano.
The locals there will try to get you to pay for a ride on horses to the crater. The air is fouled with horse manure smell in every direction and dust is kicked up every time someone or some horse pass by. Just imagine all the dried manure dust flying around. Ugh...
It just seems like a horror movie in regards to hygiene. You get horse manure smells and up in the crater you get to smell the sulfur.
There are some food stalls scattered around the region, however, I urge you to consider if you have a sensitive tummy.
I'm glad mine has a higher acidity content.
The whole idea here in the picture is to show the expanse of the Sea of Sands. The photo is taken from Cafe Lava Hostel. Unfortunately, due to limitation of equipment I cannot provide a panoramic photo which I believe it deserves.
And I could not get a map for souvenir.
Remember to keep trash away from the mountains!
Thanks.
