The study, published Wednesday in the weekly peer-reviewed medical journal The BMJ, analyzed 31 of the world's largest cryptomarkets between October 2013 and July 2016 and concluded that "the percentage of total drug sales represented by prescription opioids in the U.S. doubled from 6.7 percent to 13.7 percent."
