Robert Capa
Robert Capa ( 1913 – 1954 ) one of the most influential documentary photographers of the twentieth century, well-known for his warfare photographs from WWII. His career as a photographer started in Hungary when he was just 18 years of age. In 1931 he left Hungary for Berlin, where he worked as a darkroom assistant and photographer. After Hitler came to power, Capa moved to Paris, where he made a living as a freelance journalist. During his career he risked his life numerous times, most dramatically when during the Spanish Civil war, Capa took the now famous photo now called The Falling Soldier (1936), purported to show the death of a Republican soldier thanks to Jeff Wharton for photo of re enactor
