Hoping For Gold
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, formally known as the Great Spring Show, is a garden show held for five days every May by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London since 1912
There are four grades of award presented – gold, silver-gilt, silver and bronze – in each of thirteen different categories.
In 1936 Joan Hilliers was awarded a gold medal for her “Dingley Dell' exhibit
