Bernard Ward, Lord Bangor ( (18 August 1719 – 20 May 1781) and his wife Lady Ann Bligh built the house at Castle Ward, Northern Ireland, famous for its dual architectural styles, they also built many other houses on the estate for their farm workers, two water powered mills, and many other barns, stores and boundary walls. They were also very active in discouraging poachers from incroaching on the estate. Castleward house & estate, now owned and administered by National Trust
