The Metro Toronto Police Force held its annual Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto kick-off on Saturday July 14th on the grounds of Seneca College's Finch/Hwy 404 campus. The police unveiled the float they would entering into the annual Carnival parade. Chris Alexander, the head of the Festival spoke at the launch, as did NFL Denver Bronco's Orlando Franklin and police chief William Blair.
Two NHL players Daniel Winnik (Colorado Avalanche ) and Chris Stewart (St Louis Blues), came to the event to lend their support. They stayed and joined Orlando Franklin in signing autographs for young fans in the auidence.
