"Cyplowa" 152mm Coastal Battery , Hel peninsula 26.05.2007
The only gun emplacement, that survived from Sptember 1939 campaign at Hel peninsula. Of all polish forces, those on Hel survived longest, they surrendered on 3rd october. On 25th september 4-gun 152mm dared to pick a firefight against 2 old german battleships, "Schlesien" and "Schleswig Holstein" damaging one of them in the process. Casaulties at the battery were small, one man killed, several wounded and one gun damaged, but was repaired by the evening
