Manakara (Madagascar) – Cette photo a été prise sur la plage de Manakara. Autrefois, c'était l'entrée de l'ancien port de commerce français. Il est à l'abandon depuis pas mal d’années. On dit que les Chinois seraient intéressés pour y construire une nouvelle infrastructure. En attendant, la nature a repris ses droits car les investissements chinois se font attendre.
Manakara est une ville que j’aime particulièrement. Je ne suis pas certain de pouvoir y retourner lors de mon prochain voyage en novembre 2025. Je dois aller à Tamatave, puis je prendrai la direction de Diego Suarez, aussi connue sous le nom d'Antsiranana, au nord de l’île.

Manakara (Madagascar) – This photo was taken on Manakara beach. It used to be the entrance to the old French trading port. It has been abandoned for several years. The Chinese are said to be interested in building new infrastructure there. In the meantime, nature has reasserted itself as Chinese investment is slow to materialize.
Manakara is a city I particularly like. I'm not sure I'll be able to return there on my next trip in November 2025. I have to go to Tamatave, then I'll head to Diego Suarez, also known as Antsiranana, in the north of the island.
