L’annexe de la sentinelle des mers
Le Tréport (France) - Le phare du Tréport (13,50 mètres) date de 1907. Un premier feu a été construit en 1807, remplacé par une autre construction en 1844. Un nouveau feu a été installé au bout de la jetée ouest de la ville au début du siècle dernier. Ce phare se dresse toujours à l’entrée du port pour informer les marins de la route à suivre. Aujourd’hui, comme tous les phares de France, il est automatique. La portée de son « feu » est d’un mille marin, c’est à dire 1852 mètres.
J’ai photographié la porte de l’annexe qui se trouve à moins de deux mètres de la sentinelle des mers. Derrière cette porte se trouve toute l’installation électrique qui rend le phare autonome. Cette annexe abrite également les batteries de secours. Par temps de brume, quand la portée lumineuse est réduite, une sirène prend le relai. Et en cas de panne prolongée de réseau, il y a toujours une cloche.

Le Tréport (France) - The Le Tréport lighthouse dates back to 1907. A first light was built in 1807, replaced by another in 1844. A new structure was installed at the end of the town's west jetty at the beginning of the last century. This lighthouse still stands at the entrance to the harbor to inform sailors of the route to follow. Today, like all lighthouses in France, it is automatic. The range of its "light" is one nautical mile, or 1,852 meters.
I photographed the door of the annex, which is less than two meters from the sentinel of the seas. Behind this door is the entire electrical system that makes the lighthouse autonomous. This annex also houses the emergency batteries. In foggy weather, when the light range is reduced, a siren takes over. And in the event of a prolonged power outage, there is always a bell.
