Procession

Soatanana (Madagascar) - Le village de Soatanana où est née en 1893, la secte baptisée l’Eglise du Réveil, compte environ 10.000 habitants, dont 4.000 adeptes de ce courant protestant fondamentaliste.

Sur cette photo, les dévots se rendent en procession et en chantant, en direction de la basilique où l’office ne va pas tarder. Les croyants marchent à un rythme soutenu, car selon eux : « On ne fait pas attendre le Christ ! »

Soatanana (Madagascar) - The village of Soatanana, where the sect called the Church of Awakening was born in 1893, has about 10,000 inhabitants, including 4,000 followers of this fundamentalist Protestant movement.

In this photo, the devotees are going in procession and singing, towards the basilica where mass will soon begin. The believers are walking at a steady pace, because according to them: "We don't keep Christ waiting!"
