On m’avait dit : « tu devrais photographier ce jeune boucher qui découpe et vend la viande en chantant souvent du rap ».
Quand je me suis présenté devant son étal avec mon appareil photo, il ne s’est pas fait prier et s’est mis à chanter avec des mimiques propres aux rappeurs. C’est lui qui écrit ses textes en malgache. « Je suis un peu le bluesman de Fort-Dauphin, je chante les difficultés de vivre sur des airs de rap, mais je chante aussi l’amour ».

I was told: "you should photograph this young butcher who cuts and sells meat while often singing rap."
When I showed up in front of his stall with my camera, he didn't hesitate and started singing with gestures typical of rappers. He's the one who writes his lyrics in Malagasy. "I'm a bit like the bluesman of Fort-Dauphin, I sing about the difficulties of living to the tune of rap, but I also sing about love."
