Délocalisation du port de Prachuap
Ban Khlong Wan (Thaïlande) - Je suis retourné à Prachuap Khiri Khan, uniquement pour poursuivre ma série sur les bateaux de pêche qui accostent sur la jetée située au beau milieu de la plage. J’avais envisagé d’embarquer sur un navire pour compléter la série . Ce qui n’a pas été possible car les navires partent en mer pour plusieurs jours et je n’avais plus assez de temps. Ce sera pour la prochaine fois.
Cette année, il n’y avait plus de bateaux à Prachuap. Les autorités locales ont interdit la débarque du poisson au milieu des touristes.
J’ai mis deux jours à comprendre que le port avait été délocalisé plus au sud pour des questions pratiques et sanitaires. Impossible de me faire expliquer concrètement où se trouvait le nouveau port. Seul information, la structure est plus au sud. J’ai donc loué un scooter et suivi le rivage, jusqu’à ce que je tombe, presque par hasard, sur le nouveau port de pêche. J’ai eu du pif sur ce coup là.
Le nouveau quai de débarque en béton brut, n’a pas le charme de l’ancienne jetée de Prachuap, mais les bateaux et leurs équipages sont bien là. De plus, le tri du poisson se fait désormais sur place, sous la halle qui n’est qu’un bloc de béton ouvert à tous les vents.
Malgré l’heure encore matinale, la lumière est déjà violente. Heureusement, le capteur du Fuji GFX encaisse assez bien -jusqu’à un certain point- les forts contrastes.
Sur cette photo, l’équipage d’un chalutier transfère à terre des conteneurs en plastiques, remplis de glace pilée, dans lesquels est stocké le poisson. Une fois réceptionné il sera trié manuellement sous la halle.
Relocation of Prachuap Port

Impossible to make me explain concretely where was the new port. The only information is that the structure is to the south. So I rented a scooter and followed the shore, until I stumbled, almost by chance, on the new fishing port.
The new raw concrete landing quay does not have the charm of the old Prachuap pier, but the boats and their crews are there. In addition, the sorting of fish is done on site, under the hall which is only a concrete block open to all winds.
Despite the still early hour, the light is already violent. Fortunately, the sensor of the Fuji GFX takes quite well - up to a point - the strong contrasts.
