Balade sur la lagune de Négombo
Négombo (Sri Lanka) - Je reviens d’un balade de deux heures en barque à moteur sur la lagune de Négombo. Je ne voulais pas y aller car je craignais une arnaque pour touristes. Une fois de plus, j’ai cédé à l’insistance de mes filles. Il n’y a que les imbéciles qui ne changent pas d’avis. Je ne regrette pas ces deux heures, d’autant que le piroguier a accepté de faire ce que je lui demandais pour faciliter mes prises de vues.
Non seulement la mangrove est magnifique mais au-delà des oiseaux, les humains ont colonisé les rives de la lagune, partout où c’était possible. La lagune offre aux visiteurs une animation apaisante qui démontre que la cohabitation entre les hommes et la nature est une réalité en ce lieu paradisiaque. Même s’il faut reconnaître, que ce sont toujours les plus pauvres qui ont trouvé refuge ici.
La photo présentée ci-dessus, n’est pas prise au coeur de la lagune, mais quelques minutes avant que mon embarcation n’accoste pour mettre un terme à la promenade. Mais même dans un secteur urbanisé, on a quand même l’impression d’être projeté dans un autre monde.
Walk on the Negombo lagoon
Négombo (Sri Lanka) - I have just returned from a two-hour motorboat ride on the Negombo lagoon. I didn't want to go because I was worried about a tourist scam. Once again, I gave in to my daughters' insistence. It’s only fools who don’t change their mind. I do not regret those two hours, especially as the boatman agreed to do what I asked him to make my shots easier.
Not only is the mangrove beautiful but beyond the birds, humans have colonized the shores of the lagoon wherever possible. The lagoon offers visitors a soothing animation which shows that the cohabitation between men and nature is a reality in this paradisiacal place. Even if we have to admit, it is always the poorest who have found refuge here.
The photo shown above is not taken in the heart of the lagoon, but a few minutes before my boat docks to end the walk. But even in an urbanized area, you still have the impression of being thrown into another world.
