Mountain landscape with sheep
Mount Mye near Faro, Yukon has some fascinating rock formations and textures. It is the habitat for Fannin sheep (Ovis dalli fannini), which can be seen near the center right of this image.
With mixed sun and cloud today, this photo was taken just as rays of sunshine lit the light colored rock, adding some interesting contrast and drama to this image.
The poplar trees, not yet leafed out, stand like bristles of a brush, while the hardy pines that seem to thrive on the sparse soil in the rock crevices, provide a string of dark green.
