Breaking the ice

I had noticed those two before, in other locations, and had photographed them a few times. She usually seemed one small step ahead of him, and he always looked a bit amused by her decisiveness. But on the pictures they systematically look perfectly attuned to each other.

 

It was no different today by the frozen lake: she is obviously a natural skater, full of amazing grace, light as a twirling feather on the thin ice. He is so much goofier. He could barely slip into his skates and kept huffing and puffing along the way. Yet again, despite their obvious differences, they synced perfectly. She did hold his hand for the first couple of rounds, but when she let go, they both seemed equally amazed at his ability to keep up. I believe this picture captures love at work.....
