Mediterrean diet

Wholemeal bread, olive oil, fruit and vegetables are part of the Mediterranean diet, along with nuts, fish and a little red wine. Data from 12,800,000 participants in clinical trials showed that this diet protects against many adverse clinical events, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurovegetative disease, and all-cause mortality (for reference, New England Journal of Medicine June 12, 2024)
