Mother: Forgive me
Covered by the shadow
Of the Cypress of our lilac love,
Trying to find my futile footing
On the roots of truth
That seem to be unearthing,
Kept buried and trivial for so long
But now I am unsure
As they are forcing me to kneel
Showing off my unveiled soul
I see you look at me
A vision wrapped in doubt
An Asphodel boutonnière
Wrapped in your pocket
Taken from the meadow in which
We have lain in for too long
So take this hyacinth
But not my hand,
So I can find solidity and stand.
