Run greyhound run

People lived back here, in an alcove behind an abandoned Greyhound station. It was some shelter, anyways, and we did our best to pull the needles out so those that needed to come here were at least a bit safer.

Of course, somebody caught wind that "squatters" had made a bit of a home back there, so the city came and cleared the place out with a front loader, making sure to lock it up with a bright shiny new chain.

The discourse in the local paper around this was mostly not empathetic towards the people who had been sheltering here. I don't really like the term "inhumane treatment" since it seems to occur to a lot of humans to be really awful to each other, so can we really describe cruelty as inhuman?

Anyways, some developer bought this whole big building and the parcel of land it sits on for $500,000, which is less than a lot of houses cost in this city. They have "exciting" plans for it, which of course never leads to any disappointments.

The people whose belongings were carted away to the dump in a big truck could not be reached for comment.
