The Old Well at Dunsden Green Oxon.
This is the remaining structure of the old well that was badly damaged several years ago when it was located on the corner of Dunsden Green further along the road at a junction. Back in the days of horse & cart, there was no problem. The villagers had no mains water pipes installed in the village, and collected their water from this well for many years. In the course of time with more cars on the roads, the well suffered several impacts, so when it was no longer in use, the decision was made to relocate it on the village green, where it is now standing on the bricked base with a plaque describing the history of it.
