White Tail Alarm
Looking through some hard drives and I came upon this shot that I took 15 years ago this past Summer. I had been walking in tall grass near a wooded area when my peripheral vision picked up what I first thought was a large Lab retriever :-). This white tailed deer cut me off from about 20-30 feet away and then took up this challenging position. I backed up slowly while taking several shots and it soon calmed down. I figured I must have been about to come upon a hidden faun (?) Shot was taken with a Canon 30D and 400F5.6L...Camera is long gone but I still use that lens constantly :-)
