Scrub Python (Morellia kinghorni)

This Scrub Python was found sunning its very full stomach on a log. This Scrub Python is 3 to 4 metres long and the lump in its belly is either a Rock Wallaby or a Tree Kangaroo.

To swallow a lump this size, the Scrub Python has to dislocate its jaw and stretch its mouth and throat a huge amount. A slow process for sure.
