Didsbury - Wilmslow Road

The view of Wilmslow Road, in Didsbury.

The clock is both a memorial clock (memorial for Dr J Milson Rhodes) and also a landmark of where once the former Didsbury railway station used to be.

Didsbury railway station was situated on the Midland Railway from Manchester Central towards London St Pancras.

The station closed in 1967 and the line was removed in 1969.

Today, Manchester Metrolink now runs along the former railway line, behind these buildings.

Didsbury tram stop is located just a little bit further away from where the former railway station used to be.
