This is a former entrance to an old pub that used to stand right here in this spot, situated next to Percy Street and Tiviot Dale, on the way to Lancashire Hill.
The pub was later demolished in the 1980s to make way for a bank, which was part of (then new) Stockport Merseyway Shopping Centre.
The pub doors remain here today as a relic.
