the agreement

you were meant to meet

somebody in this life

to learn something,

something you needed to learn,

you both agreed to this meeting

but have now forgotten.

 

we are made to hurt each other

in order to learn that lesson,

but all started out of love,

and one day it will again be clear,

that love is the ground,

our source and aim.

I am now grateful,

but it still pains,

Lord it does!

Let the pain burn away

what is superfluous

let it make me

what I'm supposed to be.
