the wish bag tree

This is a South Indian tradition; wishes are mainly for progeny and matrimony. Bags containing a stone and I think curcuma are tied to a tree or particular structure like a fence. After the wish has been fulfilled one is supposed to return to remove the bag; since one won't be able to find one's own, one is allowed to remove any other.
