Textile Design 1
This design was inspired by my own photography work, more specifically a shoot I did last November taking macro shots in woodland. On the shoot I took a few shots of wild mushrooms, then later found an advert in a magazine featuring a close up shot of a mushroom much like the ones I had taken. I put some glue dewdrops on top of the ones in the image to experiment with texture.
I printed one of the macro shots I had taken of a fern, ripped it up and glued the pieces down randomly. I knew I wanted to do a textile design and tried to find shapes within the new image to include. After outlining a few I found one that interested me (in black rectangle) and that I though would work well in a repeat pattern because of its free-flowing lines.
