SdKfz 251/9 "Stummel"
This build took much longer to complete than it should have...
It started out as a winter SdKfz 251/1 that was to be part of a friend's project to make a Battle of Kharkov MOC. The problem was that several parts were missing after buying from Bricklink, and he was never able to really complete it. He sold me the parts for a relatively low price when he was doing some spring cleaning, and I managed to complete the halftrack using some spare parts I had lying around. I then decided to change things up a bit and convert it to an early production version of the SdKfz 251/9 howitzer variant, seen here.
Features moving tracks, opening rear doors, posable 75mm gun with detailed gun breech and vehicle interior. Seats 3 minifigs: a driver, a loader, and a gunner.
The design is a modded SdKfz 251/1 from Brickfactory-Berlin.
