ꕥ Ostara - A New Beginning ꕥ
My version of the Goddess Ostara for Rungardviks Photo Contest. (She is also called the goddess of dawn, and here she is in the morning glow from the east)

Today is the Spring Equinox in our Nordic country, the day and night are exactly the same length.
It is the day of Ostara, the Goddess of Spring and Dawn. She is also the pagan Goddess of fertility and for obvious reasons rabbits and hares are a symbol of fertility.
Ostara is not the sun, not the seed that the light brings to life, she is the very force of spring's arrival, impossible to stop once it starts..
In the Nordic countries there is the name "Ester" after this goddess.
